Collection of Your Personal Information

When you use the I am Hear website or app, we may collect information that identifies you as an individual. The categories of Personal Information we may collect include:

  • Your online activity including your browsing on the Site, IP address, cookies, plug-ins, Javascript, and geolocation information
  • Your name and contact information (email, address, and phone number) from resumes submitted by you
  • Personal chats & photos in the I am Hear app

Should you provide us with your mobile phone number, you consent to receive text messages from us. This will include but is not limited to text messages sent through an automated texting system. We do not require consent to receive marketing text messages as a condition of working with I am Hear. Do not provide us with a mobile phone number if you do not want to receive marketing related text messages.

How I am Hear Will Use Personal Information

I am Hear may use the information collected about visitors for the following reasons:

  • Starting a course
  • Allowing access to group chats
  • Communication on services, promotions, or Site usage
  • Administration of the Site, improvement on services, or the tailoring of online usage to the visitor

  • Enforcement of the Site’s Terms of Use

This Privacy Policy does not address, and I am Hear  bears no responsibility for, the privacy, information, or any other practices of third parties. This includes any third party operating a site or service to which the Site may provide links to. The Site does not imply endorsement of a link, site, or referenced service by us or by various affiliates. I am Hear  strongly encourages you to read the privacy statement of every site you choose to interact with.

I am Hear website and app uses reasonable organizational, technical, and administrative measures to protect personal information gathered within the organization. The Site is not meant for nor is it directed to individuals under the age of eighteen (18). I am Hear  does not knowingly collect personal information from individuals who are minors. Jurisdictional Information

The Sites are controlled and operated by I am Hear ’s head office in Canada. This agreement, and any dispute arising out of or in connection with this agreement, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ontario, Canada.

Access or Deletion Requests Specific to California Residents

As a California resident you have the right, with exceptions as defined in the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”) along with other applicable laws and regulations, to request that I am Hear  disclose certain information with regards to the collection and use of your personal information over the past year. No discrimination will occur while exercising your rights under the CCPA. If you would like to make an information access or deletion request, please click the applicable links below. You will need to provide your legal first name, last name, email address, relationship with I am Hear , and your resident state in order to verify your request. After the form is submitted, you will need to verify your email by clicking on a “Confirm Email” button in the email that will be sent to you.

If a representative is authorized to make an access or deletion request on your behalf, please have the representative call the toll-free number at 888-956-7090. I am Hear  will need to verify the representative’s authorization before processing the request. The authorized representative will need to submit documentation supporting your authorization of their ability make the request and they will also need to verify their identity with I am Hear .
